Questions and answers

What’s with the subscription that “ticks” or “doesn’t tick”?

We open access to books as new chapters become available—so that subscribers can read the book before it is fully published. We are very grateful to the readers who have preordered the book, so we pause the subscription countdown for a while—the book is gradually coming out, and the readers still have their paid year plus two months as a gift. That is the meaning of the phrase “the subscription is not ticking yet”. It will start ticking closer to the full release of the book.

After I pay for the subscription, I see that the price is different from the one on the website. Why?

The price on the website is an estimate as we charge in Russian rubles. Banks and payment systems can charge additional currency conversion and foreign transaction fees when you subscribe to our books.

Unfortunately, we have no control over these fees and cannot show the precise amount that you will be charged. But we charge a little bit less to compensate for that. In most cases, the total amount does not exceed the price on the website. Contact us if you have any questions: books@bureau.rocks
